The PPIC, housed within the Department of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota, will be the first center of its kind in the nation to bring together interdisciplinary researchers and industry partners to produce and study nutritious and functional plant protein ingredients for various food applications.

Professor Ted Labuza and former Department Head and Professor Frank Busta were honored by IFT for 50 years of membership.

Professor Ted Labuza also receives 50 year anniversary award.
